Alleghe is located in a central position, from where it's easy to reach in few minutes by car the other famous resorts of the Dolomites: Arabba, the Marmolada, the Zoldo Valley, Falcade, Cortina and many others, finding out the peculiarity of each corners and enjoying all the experiences that the Dolomites can offer.
A network of mountain roads well kept both in summer and in winter, permits you to move in short from a village to the other. If you can't use your car, the Dolomiti Bus, the public local system for extraurban transport will permit you to move easily from village to village. You can't miss a visit to the stone were you can see the footsteps of the dinosaurs or to the Mondeval Site where few years ago Vittorino Cazzetta discovered the tomb with the rest of the Man of Mondeval, now hosted in the Civic Museum of Selva di Cadore.
Going on from Staulanza Pass, you'll arrive down to Val di Zoldo, known as the land of ice cream makers, for the many people who in the past left these places to look for fortune around the world with their art of ice cream masters. Val di Zoldo together with Selva di Cadore and Alleghe is part of the Ski Civetta area and is an entrance to the ski area. Ideal destination for families with kids. In the National Park of the Belluno Dolomites, just follow the old paths made by the miners and you will reach the mines of the Imperina Valley.

A part from the sightseeing to the sites of our beloved Pope John Paul I, from here you can enter one of the most spectacular places of the Dolomites, Gares Valley, known in winter for the cross-country skiing, and in summer as a starting point for escursions and climbing.
If you drive further along the Valle del Biois you'll reach Falcade, famous winter and summer resort at the foot of San Pellegrino Pass. A part from the natural beauty and the ski slopes, Falcade is popular because it's the birth place of Augusto Murer, an artist known all over the world and whose works are hosted in the family museum in Falcade.
