Alleghe is the perfect starting point for some of the most beautiful climbs in the whole of the Dolomites.
The Alleghesi via ferrata, taking you to the top of Monte Civetta (3,218 m) from the east face, is perhaps the most famous: it is a challenging route but climbers are rewarded with memorable scenery and views.
