PARCO COMUNALE

SAN VITO DI CADORE
The Corso Italia park is right in the heart of town, near the town hall. The park sits above the road and is sheltered by any number of horse chestnut trees which filter the fierce sunlight creating the ideal spot to relax in the shade.
Here you will find slides, wooden climbing frames, play houses, swings and plenty of park benches. The north-east side of the park links with the Dolomites cycle track.

MOSIGO LAKE

SAN VITO DI CADORE
Lakeside fun for all the family! A brand new play area equipped for games and adventure play plus a mini funicular. Picnic area with tables, benches and two barbeques, snack bar also on site. An artificial lake built in 1929 on reclaimed marshland with a containment dam downstream. The chalet that sits right at the water’s edge is the same vintage and has undergone many refurbishments.
The area around the lake is known as the “green lung” because it is a thriving nature reserve, home to many wild species and visited by countless migratory birds. The dense woodland of pines and firs creates the perfect frame for the lake from which you can take in the stunning views of mounts Croda Marcora and Antelao towering majestically over the valley. Lake Mosigo is a delightful place to relax in peace, only 10 minutes on foot from the centre of San Vito along the foot path that runs from Via Sentinella.

Roccolo park is reachable by walking 10 minutes along a flat, comfortable path that leaves from the city center. The park is a terrace and seems to be hanging and suspended in the air, above the Centro Cadore lake. Roccolo park offers a breathtaking view on the valley, the towns of Vigo, Laggio and Lorenzago, on some of the most important peaks of Centro Cadore, Cridola, Montanel and Marmarole.
There are many swings, slides and wooden bridges for children, a bar with parasols, chairs and deck chairs.
